The McDowell CJPP is excited to now
have a web page. We look forward to people learning
more about us and having an easier way of finding CJPP
information.
1) Implement recommendations of the N.C. Sentencing
and Policy Advisory Commission by providing supplemental
community-based corrections programs,
2) Expand sentencing options,
3) Promote coordination between state and county
corrections programs, and
4) Improve public confidence in community-based
corrections programs.
Goals
• To reduce recidivism
• To reduce the number of probation revocations
• To reduce alcoholism and other drug dependencies
among offenders; and
• To reduce the cost of incarceration to the State
and the counties
